Students looking to continue their college journey after attending Lourdes University can find a welcoming home at ÂÜÀòÊÓƵ, where personalized support, generous transfer opportunities and career-focused academic programs help students stay on track toward graduation.

As Michigan’s largest and most comprehensive Catholic university, Detroit Mercy offers Lourdes transfer students the opportunity to continue their education at an institution grounded in the shared values of service, compassion, academic excellence and student-centered learning.

Detroit Mercy is committed to making the transfer process smooth and student-friendly. Transfer students benefit from rolling admission with no application deadline for most undergraduate programs, a waived application fee, fast admission decisions, dedicated transfer advising, personalized credit evaluations and transfer scholarships and financial aid opportunities.

Detroit Mercy is also committed to helping Lourdes students complete their degrees without unexpected increases in educational costs during the teach-out transition. The University will offer Lourdes students tuition rates, scholarships and grants that are comparable to Lourdes packaging guidelines and reflective of each student’s individual financial needs for specific programs listed in the Teach-Out Agreement. Additional financial aid opportunities may also be available to help students transition to regular Detroit Mercy tuition rates, provided students maintain consecutive enrollment, make satisfactory academic progress and remain in good academic standing.

Students transferring from Lourdes from majors not included in the Teach-Out agreement can explore more than 100 academic programs across fields including Nursing, Health Professions, Business, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Architecture and Psychology. Detroit Mercy’s emphasis on experiential learning, small class sizes and faculty mentorship allows students to receive individualized attention while preparing for meaningful careers.

Detroit Mercy also participates in statewide transfer initiatives designed to maximize transfer credit and reduce time to degree completion.

“Transfer students bring valuable experiences and perspectives to our campus community,” said Lynn Vitale, Director for Transfer & Graduate Admission. “We are committed to helping Lourdes students continue their education with as little disruption as possible while providing the support and opportunities they need to succeed.”

Located in the heart of Detroit, Detroit Mercy combines nationally respected academics with strong industry connections, hands-on learning and opportunities for community engagement throughout the region.
